Dr. Brianna Mairs values taking the time to listen to each patient’s needs to provide personalized care, as well as fully ensuring each patient understands their ocular health. By keeping up with the latest technology and advancements in eye care, Dr. Mairs provides patients with options that fit their unique lifestyles. She prides herself in leading with kindness and compassion and is motivated by creating a long-lasting relationship with her patients.
Dr. Mairs was born and raised in Abbotsford, B.C. She moved to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her optometry degree from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon where she graduated with honours.
Dr. Mairs received her optometric clinical training in a variety of medical and private practice settings that have taken her all around the United States and Canada. She did an ocular disease and low vision externship rotation at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, where she developed a passion for the medical side of optometry. She has a special interest in working with older adults and managing ocular disease, but enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
Dr. Mairs recently moved from Winnipeg to Cochrane with her fiancé. She enjoys spending her free time trying new foods and restaurants, visiting local coffee shops, hiking in the mountains, spending time with family, and finding new experiences.
