The Contact Lens Fitting Experience
With today’s advancements in contact lenses, almost all patients can wear contact lenses if they want to. However, not all types of contacts are suitable for everyone, which is why we offer contact lens exams and fittings so we can recommend contact lenses that truly suit your needs.
We use diagnostic eye care technology to take several measurements, determine your prescription, and evaluate the health of your eyes. Some common conditions, such as dry eye, can make it difficult to wear traditional contact lenses comfortably, but we have options that can soothe your eyes.
Once we’ve determined you are a good candidate for contact lenses, we’ll take precise corneal and pupil measurements, and test your tear film quality to determine which contact lenses will be the most effective and comfortable for you.
Using technology such as anterior segment optical coherence tomography, we can fit contact lenses with even greater precision.
After your fitting, we’ll typically send you home with one or more trial pairs in your prescription to help you be completely happy before you purchase any contact lenses.
If you aren’t completely satisfied with your new contact lenses, we’ll keep trying other options to find the lenses that give you clear and comfortable vision.
